was actually founded in 1994 on an irregular basis and defined from the start as a "project space" and not as a "gallery", as a "living" and non-static exhibition space - open to the most varied forms of expression of artistic practice at a high level. In 1998 the gallery moved to its present location in Praterstrasse 13.

The gallery's broad program of exhibitions and artists has brought interesting and regionally diverse young practitioners to Vienna - many for the first time. Exhibitions have gained critical success in Austria and internationally, and have also helped artists to develop and assert themselves on an international level.

In my artistic approach, I probably stick to the promise of pop that "art is more of an experience than a collector's item, that it should develop its changing power in the world rather than as furniture in the museum's cultural reserve".

And when someone buys art, it is primarily an important art grant rather than a speculative investment.
